On Thursday, November 24, 2016 Chief Al Fredericks (Windsor Police Service – Chair OACP Torch Run Executive Committee) announced that Sgt. Mark McGugan (London Police Service) was named the Director-Elect of the Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run. Mark will officially begin his 3-year term as Director on: June 11, 2017 at the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police meeting in Waterloo Region. Mark will work closely with current Director, S/Sgt Kevin MacBean (Peel Regional Police) beginning at the Torch Run Workshop on January 28, 2017 up until his appointment as Director next June.
