Snapd Beaches
On Saturday, January 21st at Woodbine Beach, about two dozen brave souls waded chest-deep into the frigid waters of Lake Ontario to raise money for the Special Olympics. As the title implies, the polar plunge is a winter fundraiser where individuals jump into its icy waters. But, like most endeavours where one is ‘dared’ to make a sacrifice for a greater cause, it naturally comes with a price. In this case, the price comes in the form of a donation from family, friends and co workers.
