15 years ago, Melissa Grew and Melissa Tibbles started their journey together with the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre (ATRC) as an Officer and nurse respectively. Both Melissas got involved with Torch Run thanks to Sarah Dereski, who they connected with through the Wellness Committee. “Sarah asked if we would sell some dogs and we got right on it. They sold like hot cakes!”
Melissa G. and Melissa T. say they don't want to take the credit. “It's our building that has great staff that purchases the items we're selling.” Both Melissas love that the money raised from these sales goes to supporting Special Olympics. “We will continue to support Special Olympics at every chance we get!”
