Oakville resident Michele Gmitrowski submitted this photo as a means of a tip of the hat to Halton Regional Police officers who go out of their way to assist and get involved in the local community.
They did so recently by helping serve customers at the neighbourhood Lone Star Texas Grill while fundraising for the Law Enforcement Torch Run For Special Olympics Ontario.

“Our officers not only serve and protect the people of Oakville, they are always finding ways to raise money for their cause, and their cause
is to give back to the community — one such way is their support for the Law Enforcement Torch
Run For Special Olympics Ontario,” said Gmitrowski.
