As part of the 2018 Kenora Winter Carnival you are invited to take part in or watch the Polar Plunge all in support of Special Olympics Ontario athletes! Participants will be freezin' for a reason as they jump in to the icy cold water of Lake of the Woods!
This will be March 3 at Anicinabe Park and you can register as an individual or a team. There is a minimum of $100.00 to take the plunge and even if you don't want to take the plunge you can donate! You can go online to donate towards the brave people of Kenora who have signed up for the plunge. Or there will be a group of volunteers taking donations at the plunge!
Kenora's goal is to raise $5000.00 or more, where funds stay local as three Special Olympics bowlers are going to nationals in May and the money will go to help with travel and accomodation costs.
