2017 marks the 30th Anniversary of the Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run. The Torch Run was brought to Ontario in 1987 by Cst. Lorne White from the Toronto Police and raised $100,000 in the inaugural year. What happened next has been nothing short of miraculous… Over $40 Million raised and over 65 Agencies in the Province actively participating in a wide range of fundraising and awareness activities year-round throughout the Province. We are proudly recognized as the official ‘Charity of Choice' of the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police and are the ONLY Torch Run program in the world in which Law Enforcement Agencies host annual Special Olympics Games. (Every year since 1996)
