Community Runs – Torch Run Ontario

Community Runs

Although the LETR has evolved over the years to include a plethora of fundraising events throughout the entire calendar year, our main awareness campaign will always be the Community Torch Run.

What is a Community Torch Run?
The Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run is a community based, province-wide event that sees the “Flame of Hope” carried across Ontario by members of law enforcement agencies. The objective is to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics Ontario.  Torch Runs are coordinated at the community level and cumulate at the Provincial FINAL LEG in which Law Enforcement Officers run the Flame of Hope into the Opening Ceremonies of the Special Olympics Ontario Games.

When is the next Final Leg?

We are pleased to present the Final Leg for the 2019 Invitational Youth Games on May 14th!  The Final Leg will run through the streets of Toronto with a stop at Steam Whistle Brewing (255 Bremner Blvd, Toronto, ON M5V 3M9) for a reception before heading into the Opening Ceremonies at Metro Toronto Convention Centre (255 Front St W, Toronto, ON M5V 2W6).
